I’m Mikael Levén, a business-oriented technology leader with more than 25 years in professional software development. I work across leadership, strategy and architecture, with a focus on making change. I build teams grounded in trust and autonomy, and support business leaders and management teams in making strategic and architectural decisions.

My foundation is systems and software engineering. Over time, my work has expanded from building systems to leading teams and organisations — while staying close to the technology. I connect the bigger picture with the technical detail, taking a pragmatic, solution-focused approach to both.

I help turn complex technical ideas into clear conversations and practical decisions. Coaching, communication and technical advisory are as much a part of my toolkit as architecture and system design.

Building direction. Supporting teams. My leadership roles have included CTO, Head of Engineering / Software Development, Engineering Manager and Business Unit Manager. I work with people to establish direction, build trust and create the conditions for teams to take ownership.

Connecting strategy to implementation. As an Enterprise, Solution and System Architect, Tech Lead and Technical Project Manager, I’ve worked across analysis, pre-studies, architecture and delivery — including microservices, API-first and headless approaches.
